Monday's "Flowers"

We are very lucky to have maple trees in our school, it's the perfect example of a deciduous tree during fall. I showed the children how to make "flower" pompoms. But for today's Monday Flower I did receive a real one... a single yellow rose, from one of our students who is moving away... we will miss her :(

Monday's Flowers

Gladiolas from Veronica... I always tell her that her name is also a flower. We placed it on our Sensorial shelf, next to the Cylinder Blocks. We got bright cheery colors to greet people as they enter the room. Hope you are having a great Monday!

Monday's Flowers

This snapshot was taken outside my home.
What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be now for ever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind...
-William Wordsworth
Just watched "Splendor in the Grass" starring Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty. Turner Classic Movies makes my Mondays a little better...

Monday's Flowers

A pretty Ranunculus blossom from our school garden. I got three helpers- Mila, Noe and Cherie who promised to "watch over" it.

I'm back at work! Took two weeks off for my wedding (will post about that soon) and I am welcomed with fresh flowers from little Ashley (wearing her brand new specs!).
